Qingshan Wei received his B. S. and M. S. in Polymer Materials & Engineering from Zhejiang University in 2005 and 2007, respectively. In 2011, he obtained the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Chemistry at Purdue University, working on the use of stimuli-responsive nanoparticles as dynamic optical contrast agents for biological imaging. He is now a postdoctoral scholar with Prof. Aydogan Ozcan in the Bioengineering and electrical Engineering Department at UCLA focusing on mobile phone based microscopy and biosensing methods. He is the recipient of the Honorable Mention of the 2014 UCLA Chancellor’s Award for Postdoctoral Research.
