Ayfer Calis received her B.S. and MSc. in Biology/Microbiology from Nigde University in 2004 and 2007, respectively. In 2012, she obtained her Ph.D. degree from Department of Bioengineering at Hacettepe University, Ankara, Turkey. She is project coordinator of Nanospekt R&D Ind.Trade.Co.Ltd which is supported by Republic of Turkey, Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology. She is currently a Post-Doctoral Researcher/Visiting Assistant Professor in Prof. Aydogan Ozcan’ group at University Of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Her research has focused on development of mobile phone based bioimaging and POC diagnosis.
