Undergraduate Research and Training Program
About the program
Funded by the HHMI Professors Program, we have launched a large scale interdisciplinary undergraduate research and training program to promote and facilitate the innovation, design and translation processes of our lab’s computational biophotonics, imaging, sensing and diagnostics technologies toward telemedicine and global health applications. Annual concurrent projects will be led by our group’s postdoctoral scholars and senior graduate students that will co-supervise undergraduate teams, each of which will be assigned a novel project serving to train undergraduate researchers.
Our lab has a long tradition of supporting undergraduate research and training. Over the last couple of years, our undergraduate researchers co-authored 49 refereed journal articles and 100 conference proceedings, and have received numerous prestigious awards for their research in our lab.
